I would like to list an impressive list of colleges, but the truth is there are none. Born in New Zealand 70 odd years ago, the strict Nuns nor the education system had no idea of Dyslexia and my first fifteen years of school is just a memory of who was punishing me, caning was the order of the day. They all thought I was purposely obstinate. My ability to read was so bad that I was in my 30’s before I could read a book. “Look at me now, I am a best-selling author.” I write about this with the hope it may give confidence to someone in the same boat. It does get better.

Leaving school at 15 I started to travel. The Outback was my first major adventure where I worked in the copper mines of Mount Isa. I traveled to Europe and was a ski instructor for three years and then to the Caribbean to manage an exclusive Hotel. Sounds too grand, but I assure you I did not start as manager. This was before settling in Rye, New York to raise a family and spent years building houses. Now I reside in beautiful Vero Beach, Florida with my wife Melinda and trusted little side-kick Chloe.



During those years, the Abernathy Saga was working on my imagination. Because of my love for these characters the "Abernathy Saga" has become part of my life. If you read about them, you will not forget them either!
